Where can clients find details on controlled firing areas (CFAs)?

Controlled Firing Areas (CFAs) are not depicted on aeronautical charts. CFAs are designated areas on the ground where activities such as the firing of missiles or launch of rockets occur, but these areas are active only during specific times and are designed to be safe for both aviation and ground operations. They are often referenced in NOTAMs (Notices to Airmen), but they do not appear as marked zones on aeronautical charts like restricted or prohibited areas do. Because they are not shown on charts, pilots are encouraged to check NOTAMs for up-to-date information on CFAs before flying in or near areas where such activities may be taking place.
